WORKSHOP: Introduction to Curation

Sign up here for a two hour in-person art curation workshop, learn about the role of the curator and the key stages of developing an exhibition. Topics covered will include concept and artist selection to installation and public engagement. There will be short talks, discussion, and a practical exercise to gain insights into the creative, organisational, and critical aspects of curating, as well as the realities of working with artists, venues, and audiences.
ELIGIBILITY:
This workshop is open to Brent residents only and is suitable for:
-Artists and writers interested in curating
-Emerging or early-career curators
-Creative practitioners wanting to understand exhibition-making
-Anyone curious about how exhibitions are developed behind the scenes
No previous curatorial experience is required.
