Pearls Meeting Centre is pleased to announce Art, Poetry, and Bad Behaviour Art, Poetry, and Bad Behaviour is a bold, thought provoking exhibition that explores the transformative power of creativity for wellbeing. This exhibition challenges conventional narratives around ageing, illness, and acceptable” behaviour. Celebrating instead the expressive, rebellious, and healing possibilities of the arts.
Through a rich tapestry of visual art, spoken word, and community voices, we spotlight how creative practice, no matter how messy, unruly, or unconventional, can promote connection, joy, identity, and strength. This creative health exhibition displays work done during the weekly Pearls Meeting Centre workshops which focused on the value and importance of arts and creativity.
Rooted in the real-life experiences of people living with dementia, their carers, and the wider community, this exhibition reclaims the idea of “bad behaviour” as a form of resistance, vitality, and self-expression. With a unique agenda addressing dementia in Dub, which challenges narratives around ageing and memory loss within our communities.
